What is the Business Manager visa?
The Business Manager visa (経営管理ビザ) is a Japanese status of residence for foreign nationals who run or manage a business in Japan. Since the reform effective October 16, 2025, applicants must meet stricter standards: capital (total investment) of 30 million yen or more, at least one full-time employee, Japanese ability at JLPT N2 / CEFR B2, three years of management experience or a relevant master's degree, an expert-verified business plan, and independent office premises.
